Open water is the entry-level certification to become a scuba diver. Open water course certifies you to dive up to 60 feet as an autonomous diver. We offer NAUI and PADI options to learn open water and display all prices below. We encourage you to call or email us to book.

Course Description

The Open Water course includes the following components:

E-learning course (PADI or NAUI)
Class training & eLearning review
Confined water (pool) training session
Four open water (ocean) dives

Typical Schedule Example

Because we offer small class sizes, this schedule is fully customizable based on your needs. Call us to discuss booking dates that fit your schedule at no additional cost!

Traditional Four Day Class

e-Learning is completed at your own pace prior to the pool session
Day 1: classroom (typically up to 6 hours)
Day 2: pool session (typically 6-8 hours)
Day 3: open water dives 1 & 2 (typically 6 hours)
Day 4: open water dives 3 & 4 (typically 6 hours)

Express Three Day Class

eLearning at your own pace
Day 1: combo class & pool training day (6-10 hours, depending on the class size)
Day 2: open water dives 1 & 2 (typically 6 hours)
Day 3: open water dives 3 & 4 (typically 6 hours)

We specialize in flexible scheduling and private or semi-private classes with patient, individualized instruction from highly experienced instructors. We have pricing set up for one person with discounted pricing for private groups. Our course is not rushed and you WILL get substantive time in the water to practice your skills. Public classes tend to train many students at once with limited ability for direct and individualized attention from the instructor.

Our Transparent Pricing

Build a custom training schedule that works best for you. We offer discounts for private groups between 2-6 students so you can invite your family and friends to get certified with you!

We also offer more deeply discounted public courses on a monthly basis but they do not feature the flexible timing and scheduling for private courses.

Public-Group Open Water Course - 4 to 6 Divers

These classes generally take place once monthly and the dates/times cannot be changed. This cost is also available for groups or four or more divers.

Semi-private Open Water Course - Single Diver

This option offers flexible scheduling to work with your schedule and the dates are fully customizable. Often this is a private class but some dates may be combined with another students class to meet everyone's scheduling requirements.

Rental Equipment: $100/day (3 Days)
Total Cost: $1,321

Semi-private Open Water Course - 2+ Divers

This option offers flexible scheduling to work with your schedule and the dates are fully customizable. Often this is a private class but some dates may be combined with another students class to meet everyone's scheduling requirements.
