Rescue Diver Course

Build your confidence and become a better dive buddy by learning rescue skills. You must complete open water, advanced open water, and have a valid CPR certification within 2 years in order to complete the Rescue Diver course with NAUI or PADI. We can support you in obtaining the CPR certification if you are not yet CPR certified.

Course Description

The Rescue Diver course includes the following components:

  • E-learning course (PADI or NAUI)

  • Classroom and pool training

  • ​2 rescue training dives at San Carlos Beach

Typical Schedule

Because we offer private courses, this schedule is fully customizable based on your needs.​

  • eLearning is completed at your own pace prior to the first dive

  • Day 1: Classroom & pool training (3-4 hours)

  • Day 2: Two rescue training dives at San Carlos Beach (4 hours)

We have pricing set up for one person with discounted pricing for private groups. Our course is not rushed and you WILL get substantive time in the water to practice your skills. Public classes tend to train many students at once with limited ability for direct and individualized attention from the instructor.

Our Pricing

Our pricing reflects the cost for private instruction. Here is sample pricing for an individual private rescue class. We offer discounts for private groups between 2-8 students so you can invite your family and friends to get certified with you.

  • Course fee: $300

  • NAUI E-Learning: $100

  • Rental equipment: Approximately $40/day. We can help you secure discounted rental gear from a local Monterey retail shop. Local shops will typically also provide discounts to purchase your dive gear.

  • Pool fee (Monterey Sports Center): $16

Total Cost: $496
